Aradea Barandana, known as Dea, began DJing in high school, spinning records for a breakdance crew. This casual start evolved into a passion for music and community, leading to his own club night in Jakarta and shaping his eclectic style. While studying in London, Dea immersed himself in underground cosmic sounds, crafting sets that blend exotic psychedelia with electronic grooves, defying genre boundaries.

He has released music under his own name and with projects like Precious Bloom and Zatua, collaborated with DJ Harvey and Ricardo Villalobos, and dropped an EP on Peggy Gou’s Gudu Records. Dea’s debut solo album, set for release on Rush Hour Records in summer 2025, marks the next chapter in his ever-evolving artistry.
