Kenji Takimi

For the last three decades, Crue-L Records boss Kenji Takimi has been an important and prolific figure in Japan's underground. He’s also one of the true pioneers of the leftfield house/alternative disco scene worldwide, bringing an unmistakably romantic, spacey, and eclectic sound to his DJ sets and productions. From his remixes for Cornelius, Hiroshi Fujiwara, Cut Copy, Nina Kraviz, Sebastien Tellier, Phil Manzanera (Roxy Music), Dimitri From Paris, and Boris, to his studio work with Theo Parrish and DJ Harvey, he defines the vanguard.
