Shhhhh is a longtime figure in Tokyo’s underground electronic music scene and a former member of Japanoise pioneers Boredoms. His approach to sound is fluid and deeply intuitive — moving freely between experimental electronics, obscure global rhythms, and folkloric traditions pulled from across South America and beyond.

A deep connection to one of Japan’s most influential import record companies shaped his crate-digging mindset early on, setting him down a path of genreless exploration that still defines his sets today.

In recent years, he’s gained wider recognition internationally, delivering mixes for Nicola Cruz on Worldwide FM and appearing on NTS. While rooted in Tokyo, he’s a key figure across Southeast Asia, with past residencies at The Observatory in Saigon and Mitsuki in Tokyo, and regular appearances at clubs and festivals like Savage, Rainbow Disco Club, Rural, and Labyrinth.
