Wata Igarashi

Wata Igarashi is one of Japanese techno’s key players. Emerging from the country’s deep connection to electronic music, his approach reflects a distinctly Japanese aesthetic — appreciating the force and beauty that come from meticulous attention to detail. Having released on labels such as Figure, Semantica, Time to Express, The Bunker NY, Omnidisc, Bitta, and Midgar, Igarashi has also been developing his own WIP platform as an outlet for his music. From his home base in Tokyo, he regularly tours the globe, continuing to explore and refine his singular vision of electronic music.
